You Wrote the Book.
Now learn how to launch it.
Publishing is a business and nobody hands you the playbook. Page One Education gives authors—at every stage—the strategies, expert access, and community they need to get their book into the hands of readers and keep it there.
Writing the book is only half the job.
Publishers don't hand you a roadmap.
Full-service publicity isn't accessible to everyone.
But the knowledge? That's accessible now.
Wherever you are in your author journey, there's a place for you here.
Sound familiar? you've spent three hours researching and come up with absolutely nothing useful. Let us help.
Sound familiar? you know you should be doing more, but what does "more" even mean? We can tell you.
Sound familiar? Your last launch was better than the first, but momentum between books is hard to sustain alone. We can help.
Simple. Flexible. Built for authors who are already busy.

Every tier includes access to our community of authors navigating the publishing journey. Because book publishing is hard but it's a little easier when you're not doing it alone. Memberships are month-to-month, although there are some perks for longer commitments. Note that spots in Proof and First Edition are limited—we keep these tiers intentionally small to make sure everyone has the time they are investing in.

A few things authors often ask us.
Page One Education is not about the craft of writing. It is about the business of being an author. We don’t teach you how to write a better book (there are great people doing that work out there and you will find them in our resources guide inside Page One Education!). We teach you how to work with your publisher, build your audience, market your book, and build your career as an author.
Absolutely. In fact, the earlier you start understanding how publishing works, the stronger your position will be when you’re ready to pitch, query, or launch. Our Draft tier is designed for authors in all stages who want to better understand what is expected of them during the publishing process and also how to get there. Authors come to us before they even have a book deal to help build their audience, we can teach you how we do that work and what you can do for yourself.
Draft is month-to-month and open to all, although there are some perks for those who subscribe for 12-months. Proof and First Edition are limited — five spots and two spots respectively — to ensure every member gets genuine access to Sarah and quality doesn’t suffer as we grow. If you’re interested in a higher tier, see if there is a spot open and we can help you upgrade. If there isn't an available spot, we encourage you to join the waitlist. When a spot opens, you’ll be first to know.
No. Our curriculum spans books of all kinds: trade, academic-trade, professional, and from big-5 publishers to indie and university presses, we work with them all! We also work with authors writing everything from memoir and literary fiction to nonfiction across all subject areas. Publishing is publishing — the business fundamentals apply across genres and vary a bit depending on who is publishing your book.
Page One Education is the educational arm of Page One Media (P1M), a full-service author publicity and strategy firm. Our members get the knowledge and tools that our premium clients benefit from — just in a format that works for authors at every budget level. It’s equity in publishing, in practice.
In the fall of 2025, Sarah Russo was accepted into the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, where she encountered 39 other business owners across industries. In a matter of days, it became apparent that almost everyone in the room wanted to write a book or was writing a book and had no idea where to begin on their publishing journey. And Page One Education was born. (special thank yous to Petrushka Bazin Larsen of Sugar Hill Creamery — go sign up for her Substack!).
Page One Education is renewable month-to-month and you can cancel at any time and not join us for the next month. We are sorry but we can't process mid-month cancellations or partial refunds.
Please email us at hello@page1m.com with your question and we'll get back to you within 48 hours.
You have a story to tell. Now let's make sure the world finds it.
The publishing industry moves fast. Your launch window is finite. The good news? You don't have to figure it out alone, and you don't have to wait.
